‘M’illumino / d’immenso’ – Cairo

The Italian Cultural Institute of Cairo, the Swiss Embassy in Egypt, Luxor University, Luxor Poetry House and the Laboratorio Traduxit announce the international ‘M’illumino / d’immenso’ award for Arabic translations of two Italian poems. 

The Egyptian edition foresees the creation of a special prize for young translators reserved for applicants who, on 21 October 2020, are under 26 years of age, in consideration of the numerous students of Italian Studies in Egypt with a passion for Italian literature. The initiative is sponsored by the Libraries of Rome, which will offer the winner a residency at the Casa delle Traduzioni in Rome.

The winner shall be announced on 15 October 2020, the award ceremony is scheduled for 21 October 2020.
