‘Vivere all’italiana in musica’ public notice

Vivere all’italiana in musica (Living Italian Style in Music) aims to support the revival of Italian productions in the performing arts industry and international relaunch thanks to the network of Embassies, Consular Offices, Representations and Italian Cultural Institutes around the world.

The Public notice is intended to select up to a maximum of five proposals for the classical/contemporary music section and five proposals for the jazz section, focusing in particular on the projects inspired by the great Italian musical tradition and involving original and unpublished high quality compositions. The selected proposals must be produced and perfected in digital album format and in video format by 30 November 2020. 

The albums and videos will be presented as part of the initiative Vivere all’italiana in musica, which will be circulated in 2020 through a special platform and promoted internationally by the foreign network of the Ministry. 

The Notice is open to new or existing music bands, ensembles or orchestras, with at least three components, which can submit expressions of interest according to the procedures described in the Notice, no later than 12:00 am on 6 September 2020.

The initiative was developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation – Directorate General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation in line with the objectives of the ‘Cura Italia’ (Decree-Law 18/2020 converted into Law 24 No 27 of 24 April 2020) in support of the culture industry and with the integrated promotion strategy Vivere all’Italiana.

For the jazz section, Vivere all’italiana in musica is promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation –  Directorate General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation in collaboration with MIDJ – Italian Association of Jazz Musicians and the Italian National Jazz Federation.
