The Italian Cultural Institute of Sydney presents ‘Siamo tutti attori!’ (We Are All Actors!), an acting course in Italian by Bianca Bonino.
The eight-week course aims to introduce participants to acting techniques in Italian. It will focus on the analysis and dramatic rendition of poems, monologues, dramatic dialogues and the creation of theatrical characters, with particular attention to articulation, voice projection, correct posture, choral rhythm and relaxation techniques.
Bianca Bonino is an actress, director, trainer and event producer. In Italy, she attended the Centro di Arte Drammatica in Turin (1984-1986) and has acted in various productions at the Teatro Stabile in Turin under the direction of Ugo Gregoretti. She moved to Australia in 1996, where she studied Theatre and Performing Studies at the University of New South Wales. Since 2009 Bonino has curated and directed all the Commedia dell’Arte productions for the Fools in Progress Theatre Company Inc. He has attended many Commedia dell’Arte courses in Italy with Antonio Fava and Carlo Boso and has organized numerous Commedia dell’Arte workshops in Sydney. Her natural flair for improvisation and her keen artistic sensibility make her one of the most refined and versatile Commedia dell’Arte performers on the Australian scene today. Bianca also collaborates regularly with various cultural associations in Australia, organizing cultural events and poetry readings in Italian.
