On 22 and 23 March the Italian Cultural Institute of Tunis offers two days of online research on the subject.
Tunisian-Italian cooperation in archaeology and cultural heritage
‘Dal Mediterraneo al Sahara. La cooperazione tuniso-italiana in archeologia e nel patrimonio culturale‘ (From the Mediterranean to the Sahara. Tunisian-Italian cooperation in archaeology and cultural heritage) is the title of the webinar scheduled for 22 and 23 March , designed and co-organized by Italian Cultural Institute of Tunis with ISPC-CNR, Sapienza University of Rome, Saic and Ismeo.
The event aims to present the status of the investigations into multidisciplinary research projects, covering a period from prehistory to the Islamic period with the participation of the Tunisian-Italian team. A moment’s reflection which also aims to highlight the issues and the measures taken, or planned, to deal with the current health crisis.
The webinar also aims to encourage dialogue between the key players in research and the audience of specialists and enthusiasts who wish to speak.
The event includes 11 presentations starting from the morning of 22 March, with institutional greetings from the ISPC-CNR Director, Dr. Costanza Miliani, and Director of the Italian Cultural Institute of Tunis, Dr. Maria Vittoria Longhi. A talk from Professor Attilio Mastino, President of the Italian Archaeological School of Carthage (SAIC), closes the event on 23 March.
