The Italien-Zentrum cultural centre participated in the production of the episode ‘Ein Jahr nach Bergamo’ dedicated to the city that has become a worldwide symbol of the outbreak of the pandemic. Included in the podcast ‘Mit Herz und Haltung’, the podcast features the testimony  of Professor Manuela Moroni of Bergamo, who describes her personal experience with Felice Perani, the only survivor of the four patients transported to Leipzig hospital. The German-language podcast is available on podcast page and on Spotify, Deezer and Apple.

The Italien-Zentrum is a collaborative project between the Dresden University of Technology and the Italian Cultural Institute of Berlin and constitutes a platform for scientific and cultural exchange between Italy and Germany/Saxony. It coordinates numerous activities for the promotion of Italian language and culture. In particular, it organises scientific and cultural events focused on topics of current interest relating to Italy, featuring Italian guests. The Italien-Zentrum also promotes Italo-German cooperation in academic, social and economic fields, in particular by supporting collaborative projects between the Dresden University of Technology and Italian universities, research centres, institutions and companies.
