‘Italia Contemporanea’ is the new documentary series dedicated to the places of contemporary art in Italy, an initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in collaboration with Sky Arte and with the executive production of TIWI.

The second episode, “Open Air” is dedicated to the art that unfolds in squares, gardens and parks, from the  ‘Fontana Igloo’ by Mario Merz and the Merz Foundation in Turin to Milan with ‘Ago, filo e nodo’ by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen and the Gibellina with ‘Grande Cretto’ by Alberto Burri.

Guest of this second ppointment is Piergiorgio Castellani, who created the ‘Tuttomondo’ mural in Pisa with Keith Haring.

The episode will be broadcasted on 15 May, at 8.45 pm (Italian time), on Sky Arte (channels 120 and 400 of Sky) and is available on demand and in streaming also on NOW, and for free on video.sky.it/arte, here and on italiana Vimeo channel.
