The “neglected voices” of twentieth-century Italian literature in a new English translation.
“Italian Literature in Translation”: the fourth volume is out now
“Italian Literature in Translation” is an original project by the Italian Cultural Institute in London, by launched in 2018 and aimed at introducing English-speaking readers to the great protagonists of contemporary Italian literature.
After the publication of the first three volumes, dedicated respectively to “Women Writers“, new playwrights and authors of fiction, the fourth volume of Italian Literature in Translation, “Neglected Voices” is out now. It features extracts from novels never previously published in English, by Italian writers of the twentieth century.
From the Fascist period to the tension between city and country, from World War II to an original vein of psychological introspection, the twelve authors and novels of this anthology are all well worth discovering or rediscovering.
