From 2 September the winning project of ‘Vivere all’italiana sul palcoscenico’ debuts live in Verbania.

Italian premiere of ‘Italia – Museo dell’altrove’

‘Italia – Museo dell’Altrove’ is a contemporary dance, performance and installation art project that unfolds in several settings and addresses the themes of the contemporary museum and the relationship between architectural space and the body.
Conceived and directed by Francesca Foscarini and Cosimo Lopalco and enriched by the artistic contribution of the dancers ErGao and Noel Pong, coming respectively from China and Hong Kong, the project was created as part of the initiative ‘Vivere all’italiana sul palcoscenico‘ and is available on the italiana Vimeo channel.
The show debuts in national premiere on 2 and 3 September as part of the Cross Festival in Verbania. In particular in the space of Villa Giulia, the ‘spectators / visitors’ will be able to live an engaging experience. The collection of works on display thus becomes an ideal exploration of Italian cultural history (the first films by Pasolini, Fellini, the art of Antonio Ligabue, Venice, popular culture and dialects, a certain clerical sleepiness with its bells, the coffee ritual, card games). To this is added the precious look and the “other” taste of the Asian artists ErGao and Noel Pong . The project involves two emerging Italian cultural and performative structures – Lis Lab / Cross Festival and the VAN Company – and the City Contemporary Dance Company, a prestigious Hong Kong production company.
