The ADI Association (Associazione degli Italianisti) presents a series of events called “Nel nome di Dante“, with the participation of several prominent italian and international writers, invited to discuss, starting from Dante’s work and thought, some topical issues of the present time.
In particular, a rich series of initiatives will be held in Forlì on 21 and 22 May, including, on Saturday 22 May (8.00 pm), a dialogue between Alessandro Barbero e Alberto Casadei, professor of Italian literature at the University of Pisa and coordinator of the ADI ‘Dante Group’. Barbero and Casadei will be interviewed by Paolo Rambelli, professor at the University of Bologna, about the most recent interpretations of the Divina Commedia, combined with Dante’s life and biography. The Italian historian, professor and writer Alessandro Barbero is one of the most appreciated authors of tv and radio historical programmes, and he has recently published the book ‘Dante’ (Editore Laterza, 2020).
The Italian Cultural Institutes support the initiative with a series of questions that will be presented and discussed during the event.
The conversation will be broadcasted live here and on vimeo.com/italianaesteri
