On the occasion of his upcoming UK tour, Italian pop, jazz and soul singer Mario Biondi will give a live interview with journalist Alessandro Allocca at the Italian Cultural Institute of London on 5 April. Mario Biondi will discuss his new album ‘Romantic‘ (2022), his music and career in Italy and abroad, before taking part in a Q&A with the audience.
‘Romantic’ is a project that combines romance in all its facets: there is the loving one, the brotherly one, the one related to the love for the family. This record in some tracks reflects the sound and the spirit of the 70s, the years when music reminded us that war is only a source of pain. The album includes collaborations with Maurizio Fabrizio and Lina Sastri and a cover song in Sicilian language, written by his father, Stefano Biondi.
Alessandro Allocca is a London-based Italian journalist specialised on current affairs and entertainment. He is a contributor to several media outlets including LaRepubblica, LondraItalia, RTL, RDS, Rai. He is also an academic teacher of LUMSA University leading the Mobile Journalism Course for the Master Degree in Journalism. He has been awarded by FPA – Foreign Press Association, and MoJo – Mobile Journalism Festival for his journalistic works.
