He has won major awards, including the ‘Compasso d’Oro’ in 1987 and 1994. Some of his creations are part of the permanent exhibition at the MoMA in New York and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
Antonio Citterio is the focus of the events promoted by the Embassy of Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute of Tokyo on the occasion of the 2021 edition of Italian Design Day .
The Institute hosted an exhibition entitled ‘Design and Industry’, while Citterio himself held an online talk together with architect Kita Toshiyuki. United by an long-standing friendship and professional partnerships, both have been awarded the prestigious industrial design award ‘Compasso d’Oro’.
