The Italian Cultural Institute of St. Petersburg is pleased to present the exhibition ‘ItaliAE. From Alinari to the masters of contemporary photography’ at the Rosphoto Exhibition Center, from 30 July until 19 September 2021.
The exhibition itinerary illustrates, through photography, the charm and diversity of Italy, its landscapes, its creativity and its people.A century and a half of history, recreating an ideal gallery of portraits and memories, witnessing the extraordinary vitality of Italian photography. An archive of 75 photographers – from the Alinari brothers, Giorgio Roster, Giovanni Crupi, Vittorio Sella to Franco Fontana, Paolo Spigariol, Gabriele Basilico, Antonio Biasiucci, just to name a few – who have portrayed Italy each in their own way and with the their particular interest.
