The Italian Cultural Institute of Prague presents the concert ‘Bach is in the Air‘ by Danilo Rea and Ramin Bahrami.

Danilo Rea is an undisputed authority in the world of Italian jazz piano. He has established himself internationally, playing with some of the greatest American soloists, from Chet Baker to Lee Konitz. A versatile musician with solid classical background, he has not shied away from forays into pop, collaborating with artists such as Mina and Pino Daniele.

The Iranian pianist Ramin Bahrami is currently regarded as one of the most interesting interpreters of Bach, of whose music he has made over twenty records and whom he has published a book about. ‘Come Bach mi ha salvato la vita’ (How Bach saved my life).

The extraordinary project “Bach is in the air” was born from the meeting of these two talents, a dialogue between two pianos in which classical music is combined with jazz improvisation.
