As part of the ItaliaXXI series, the Italian Cultural Institute of Buenos Aires, the Teatro Coliseo and the Complejo Teatral de Buenos Aires present the Argentine premiere of the contemporary dance show ‘Cantata’ by Mauro Bigonzetti.

‘Cantata’ is a piece of choreography with strong colours typical of the south. With his passionate and visceral gestures, she evokes a wild Mediterranean beauty, through an instinctual and vibrant dance, the relationship between man and woman is dramatized: seduction, passion, skirmishes and jealousy. Choreography by Mauro Bigonzetti, music by ASSURD, Enza Pagliara and Enza Alessandra Prestia and costumes by Helena de Medeiros. The ballet is being performed by the Compañía de Ballet Contemporáneo of the Teatro San Martín.

It will be performed at the Teatro Coliseo on 11 and 12 March.

The ItaliaXXI series was created, curated and produced by the Italian Cultural Institute of Buenos Aires and the Teatro Coliseo, with the institutional support of the Embassy of Italy, the Ministry of Culture of the Italian Republic and the beIT programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
