On the occasion of the Giornata Mondiale del Cinema Italiano (World Italian Film Day, 19 June), the Italian Cultural Institutes of Tel Aviv and Haifa present the 8th Italian Film Festival in Israel, organised in collaboration with Filmitalia Cinecittà Luce and the Israel Film Archive.
After the 2020 edition, which was organised entirely online, the Italian Film Festival returns to fill the programmes of Israel’s main cinematheques with the best Italian film productions of the past year, along with some old masterpieces.
Thanks to the enthusiasm of the festival directors Ronny Fellus and Dan Muggia and the dedicated collaboration of Monica Moscato (Filmitalia – Cinecittà Luce) the Israeli public will be treated to a particularly rich and varied programme, offering insights into the direction Italian film has taken in recent years, with the influence of past masters and new perspectives.
