On the occasion of Fare Cinema 2021, the Italian Cultural Institutes of Tel Aviv and Haifa, in collaboration with Filmitalia Cinecittà Luce and the Israeli film archives, organize the eigh edition of the Italian Film Festival in Israel: ‘Cinema Italia’ present not only well-known classics but also new talents from our film industry to the most important cinemas in Israel.

A début feature opens the Festival: ‘Thou Shalt Not Hate‘ by Mauro Mancini. This will be followed by ‘The Predators‘ by Pietro Castellitto (best debut director at the David di Donatello 2021), the multi-award winning ‘Hidden Away‘ by Giorgio Diritti (7 David di Donatello awards, including best film, best director and best leading actor), ‘You Came Back‘ by Stefano Mordini, ‘The Ties‘ by Daniele Lucchetti, ‘Bad Tales‘ by the D’Innocenzo brothers, ‘Parents vs. Influencers‘ by Michela Andreozzi and ‘Assandira‘ by Salvatore Mereu.

There is also space for documentaries, with Giuseppe Pedersoli‘s ‘The Truth About La Dolce Vita‘, and for author retrospectives, with six masterpieces by Ettore Scola and ‘Death in Venice‘ by Luchino Visconti, all in restored versions.
