Cinema! Italia!, the italian film festival in Hamburg in its 24th edition, this year presents six contemporary Italian films, in the original version with German subtitles.
The selection is a mix of comedy and drama, works by newcomers and established directors, and reflects the state of the art of Italian cinema. The films provide a varied impression of the past and present of Italy, its culture and lifestyle.
The films selected for this edition:

- ‘The Predators / Die Raubtiere’ (2020) by Pietro Castellitto
- ‘Rose Stone Star / Rose, Stein und Stern’ (2020) by Marcello Sannino
- ‘Parents in Progress / Fast perfekte Eltern’ (2019) by Laura Chiossone
- ‘Love Under House Arrest / Liebe unter Hausarrest’ (2019) by Emiliano Corapi
- ‘Hidden Away / Ich wollte mich verbergen’ (2020) by Giorgio Rights
The Cinema! Italia! Festival is organized by Made in Italy, Kairos-Filmverleih, in collaboration with Metropolis Kino and the Italian Cultural Institute of Hamburg, with the patronage of the Italian Embassy in Berlin. Further stops for Cinema! Italia! in northern Germany will be Bremen, Kiel, and Lübeck.
Tickets can be purchased at the Metropolis Kino. Institute members are entitled to a reduced price.
