The Embassy of Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Prague, in collaboration with the CAMIC (Italian-Czech Chamber of Commerce and Industry) present Common Glass, a project dedicated to the new language of contemporary glass.
The round table, held on 23 March on the occasion of Italian Design Day, will bring together the most interesting companies in the sector in Italy and the Czech Republic.
Two up-and-coming designers, Lucia Massari from Venice and Lukáš Novák from Prague, will talk about their experience projecting the best of Italian and Czech artisan tradition into the near future with their innovative aesthetics and experimental approach.
Stephan Hamel, consultant and brand catalyst, who has contributed to the global launch of many companies in the sector, will also speak.
The event will also be attended by a representative of the historic Bohemian glass manufacturer Rückl, which, with its more than one hundred years of history, continues its commitment to interpreting its glorious past in a more modern key, including through new collaborations with international contemporary artists.
The meeting will be moderated by Annalisa Rosso, co-founder of the Mr. Lawrence studio and an expert in contemporary design and both private collecting and collecting in public institutions.
