The Italian Cultural Institute of Valletta invites a two-day event on Sept. 7 and 8 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Pier Paolo Pasolini‘s birth.
The event is organized by the Department of Italian and the Master of Arts in Film Studies of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Malta, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Valletta, and is held at the National Library of Malta.
The project, curated by Dr. Zammit, opens with a lecture entitled ‘Viaggio nel Cinema di Pier Paolo Pasolini’ (‘A journey into the cinema of Pier Paolo Pasolini’), delivered in Italian by Dr. Roberto Chiesi and Dr. Andrea Morini, with readings conducted by Andrea Stegani, and moderated by Ilaria Labbate.
The event will also include the screening of three iconic films by Pasolini: ‘Che cosa sono le nuvole?’ (1968), ‘La sequenza del fiore di carta’ (1968) and ‘Il fiore delle Mille e una notte’ (1974) .
