As part of the event ‘Apokalypsa II & Seeds for the Seventh Power’, organized by the Rachot Agency and ArtMill, an art centre located on an organic farm in the heart of Bohemia, the Italian Cultural Institute in Prague presents a performance by Paolo Angeli.
The guitarist will present his latest concept album, ‘JAR’A’, guiding the audience through avant-garde and post-rock reinterpretations of traditional ancient Sardinian singing.
Ethnologist, composer, guitarist with extraordinary technical and interpretative skills, Angeli can be ranked among the great improvisers, alongside Pat Metheny or Fred Frith. His 18-string Sardinian guitar, fitted with a pedal board, is capable of producing the sounds of a small orchestra.
