The Italian Cultural Institute of Kiev is taking part in the 17th edition of Contemporary Art Day, with a performance by the Italian artist Franco Ariaudo entitled “Ginnastica museale” (Museum Gymnastics), at the National Art Museum of Ukraine.
As part of the participatory performance Franco Ariaudo will give a guided tour of the Museum, which will include moments of interaction with various pieces in the permanent exhibition. During the guided tour, the viewings of the works will be combined with simple physical exercises to be performed collectively. In the dual role of cultural mediator and personal trainer, the Italian artist will accompany participants on a journey of exploration that is both discursive and bodily. The event is curated by Sergey Kantsedal, with the assistance of Yuliya Say. The lecture-performance will be held on Friday, 10 December and Saturday, 11 December at the National Art Museum of Ukraine.
