The Italian Cultural Institute of New York, in collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy in New York, will host ‘Aporìa’, a performance-installation by Antonio Marras.

The event, curated by Valeria Orani, will take place on the occasion of the 17th Contemporary Art Day, promoted by AMACI – Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums.

The Italian artist and designer Antonio Marras will create a site specific installation entitled ‘Su per le antiche scale’ (Up the Ancient Stairs), which will be unveiled to the public on 6 December and will remain on display in the spaces of the Italian Cultural Institute until January. The opening will also include a performance directed by the choreographer Marco Angelilli based on designs by Marras himself, featuring Gabriel Da Costa and Francesco Napoli, and the voice of the contralto Maurizio Rippa.
