On the occasion of the seven hundredth anniversary of Dante’s death, on 26 March, the Italian Cultural Institute of Rio de Janeiro will hold an online event on art, fashion and architecture in Florence in the thirteenth century with professors Marcello Maria Perongini, Aristides Corrêa Dutra and Thaiana Vieira.
The purpose of the event is to rebuild and explore the artistic and social context in which the ‘father of the Italian language’ lived and was inspired, and which has significantly helped create an Italian identity which, during the Renaissance, will be considered as the main reference in the transformation process of art, philosophy and science.
The event can be followed on the Institute’s Facebook and Youtube pages.
