On the occasion of Dantedì, the Italian Cultural Institute of Buenos Aires celebrates the work of the poet together with the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Roma and the National Museum of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires.
During the event, works selected from the collections of the two museums, representing Dante’s influence on artists of different eras and origins, will be presented to the public. It will be an excursus through painting, graphics and sculpture, in the form of an international exchange.
This event is the first activity that sees the three cultural institutions working side by side. The Memorandum of Understanding to be presented here relaunches the Italian-Argentine cultural dialogue in the field of artistic collaboration, with a number of initiatives over the course of 2021 to enhance exchanges and opportunities for research and investigation of the respective collections, culminating in exhibitions created ad hoc for the two museums.
The event, in Italian and Spanish, will be broadcast from 12:00noon (Argentina) or 4:00pm (Italy) on the YouTube channel of the Italian Cultural Institute.
