As part of the celebrations marking the 700th anniversary of the death of Dante Alighieri, the Italian Cultural Institute of Cologne, in collaboration with the Italo-German Society of Düsseldorf, a digital conference by Ambassador Raffaele Campanella, a passionate scholar of Dante’s work, is being held, moderated by Dr. Philip Stockbrugger of the Goethe University Frankfurt.

The meeting is an important opportunity to present some aspects of the thought of the Supreme Poet to the public, in particular the multiple dimensions of the concept of freedom both within Dante’s work and at the political level of civil coexistence.

The video will be available on the YouTube page of the Italian Cultural Institute of Cologne starting from 2 August 2021.
