All the initiatives for the National Day of Dante Alighieri and for the 700th anniversary of his death.

Various initiatives have been organized in Skopje to celebrate Dante Alighieri.
The Italian Embassy organized an online event open to the public to illustrate these activities:

  • presentation of an audiobook, made with the Dante Alighieri Institute in Skopje and with the Fluctus Association, which reports the complete Macedonian translation of the first part of the Divine Comedy, Hell. The audiobook can be consulted the Samoglas platform (registration needed);
  • launch of a competition organized with the Dante Alighieri Institute in Skopje and designer for Macedonian students for the creation of an artistic poster on the celebrations of the 700th anniversary of the death of Dante Alighieri. Information on the competition will be published in Italian, Macedonian and Albanian on the website and on the social networks of the Embassy and of the Dante Alighieri Institute in Skopje;
  • organization of a conference held by director Luca Cortina on the publishing success of the Divine Comedy in the fourteenth century;
  • organization of two seminars organized by the ‘Goce Delcev’ University of Stip, dedicated to the sensory aspects of Dante’s work, by prof.ssa Arianna Capirossi of the University of Florence, and prof. Dario Galassini of the University of Cork.
