Discovering the Italian collection of the Strasbourg museum of fine arts

A cycle of free guided tours leads the visitor through centuries of great Italian art.

As part of the Italian Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe , the Permanent Representation of Italy to the Council of Europe, the Italian Cultural Institute of Strasbourg , the Municipality and the Eurometropolis of Strasbourg have been offering to the public from 9 to April 25 a cycle of free guided tours of the Italian Collection of the Museum of Fine Arts of the City of Strasbourg. 

Among the numerous exceptional Italian works preserved at the Museum of Fine Arts are Raphael‘s ‘Portrait of Fornarina’, Greco ‘s ‘Mater Dolorosa’ as well as paintings by Correggio, Filippino Lippi, Cariani, Crespi, Giotto, Veronese, Botticelli , Piero di Cosimo, Canaletto, Tintoretto and a sketch by Tiepolo.
