The Embassy of Italy in Manama presents ‘DIVA! Il Glamour Italiano nel Gioiello Moda’ (Italian Glamour in Fashion Jewellery). The exhibition opened on November 17 at the National Museum of the Kingdom of Bahrain, where it will remain open to the public until December 11.

The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Marina Sereni, who was visiting the Kingdom, Sheikha Mai Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, and the Italian Ambassador to Bahrain, Paola Amadei.

The exhibition opened the day after the post-pandemic relaunch of the ‘Jewellery Arabia‘ fair, one of the most important events in the Arab world for the jewellery sector, which this year will also host many Italian jewellery houses.

Finally, on the occasion of the exhibition, a lecture was held at the ‘Grazia Deledda’ Centre for Italian Culture, at the Royal University for Women, entitled: ‘Italian Fashion Jewellery‘. Held by Dr. Susanna Testa, PhD in Design and Assistant Professor at the Design Department of the Polytechnic University of Milan, the lecture will address the topic of Made in Italy in the jewellery sector.
