‘Eccellenze italiane’ in China, Germany and the United Arab Emirates

The exhibition on young Italian illustration continues its world tour in China, Germany and the United Arab Emirates.

After the inauguration in Bucharest, the exhibition ‘Eccellenze italiane‘ arrives in China for the ‘Road to 2022‘, a festival of events organized in view of the Italy-China Year of Culture and Tourism.

In October, the illustrations by the young artists of the exhibition ‘Eccellenze italiane’ filled Yangtianwo Square, in Dujiangyan (Chengdu), home to the UNESCO site of the same name. Promoted as part of the annual festival ‘Chengdu-Europe Culture Season 2021‘, the event was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Emilia-Romagna Regional Authority, and organized in Dujiangyan by the Chengdu Foreign Affairs Office in collaboration with the Consulate of Italy in Chongqing and the Dujiangyan municipal authorities. The journey of young Italian illustration did not stop there. In October and November 2021, a selection of the best works is the star of two key events in publishing and the foreign book market. From 20 to 24 October, “Eccellenze italiane” was on display at the Frankfurt Book Fair, while from 3 to 16 November, at the Sharjah International Book Fair there will be a preview of the special edition to be created by Bologna Children’s Book Fair and Regione Emilia-Romagna for the Italy Pavilion at EXPO Dubai, open to visitors from 16 to 22 January 2022.

‘Eccellenze italiane’ is an original project by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Bologna Children’s Book Fair/Bologna Fiere and the Emilia-Romagna Regional Authority, curated by Cooperativa Giannino Stoppani/Accademia Drosselmeier.
