…in fact it is not just a journey I am inviting you on, but rather a mistake with astonished gaze following the thin thread that guides my work a bit here, a bit there, ready to move, at its whim, in every direction. – Giulio Camagni
‘Tutte le direzioni’ (Every direction) refers to a ‘multiverse’ an expression open to different interpretations. This definitely refers to the wanderings of Giulio Camagni – an artist who has studied philosophy – who works in a number of areas of figurative art: comics, drawing, abstract painting, installations made of found materials.
But it is also an indication of a career that adheres perfectly to a ‘diverse and circular’ practicability of the environments of the Italian Cultural Institute of Vienna, which opens the exhibition dedicated to the artist from 11 March to 15 April.
