Presented for the first time in Rome, after the European locations, the exhibition “Il Centenario. Fellini nel mondo” arrives in Buenos Aires, where the series of events organized by the Italian Cultural Institute to celebrate the director comes to a close.

The halls of the Palacio Errazuriz Alvear, home of the Museo Nacional de Arte Decorativo (MNAD) of Buenos Aires, welcomed the exhibition dedicated to Fellini in an ideal setting to echo the atmosphere of Fellini’s world. Never-seen-before photographs, personal sketches, original costumes, theatrical sketches, scripts, posters and sheet music, subtitled video of famous interviews, and a special focus on the film “Casanova”, take visitors into the heart of the filmmaker’s creative universe.

The exhibition is accompanied by a programme of associated activities: a series of round tables, conferences and debates (digitally and open to the public) to analyze with local specialists the different facets of Federico Fellini, his influence on local culture and his legacy with respect to new generations; but also concerts and live performances, as well as an online cycle of some of the Maestro’s main films. The sponsor Bodega Catena Zapata will produce  a limited edition of 600 bottles of Sangiovese 2018 for the occasion, whose label reproduces a work of Italian painter Natino Chirico owned by the Italian Cultural Institute.

The exhibition can be visited from Thursday to Sunday, from 1pm to 7pm, with advance booking required on museoartedecorativo.cultura.gob.ar.
