The programme outlined by the Italian Cultural Institute of Rabat makes its debut on Saturday 13 March with the concert “Petite Messe Solennelle” by Gioachino Rossini, in collaboration with the Petruzzelli Theatre in Bari.
From 16 March to 14 April, ‘Breve incontro – Alla corte del Corto’ (Brief Encounter – At the Court of the Short) presents 42 short films produced in the last two years and awarded in competitions and festivals by spectators and critics. The stories, lasting no more than thirty minutes, are directed by great masters of Italian cinema such as Marco Bellocchio, Pasquale Scimeca, Gianni Amelio, Alessandro Grande and many others. ‘La strada incantata del cinema Italiano – In viaggio per l’Italia attraverso il Cinema‘ (The enchanted road of Italian film – A journey through Italy through film) is a 20-stage online journey, from April to June 2021, exploring the Italian regions through film, cultural activities, tourism and the location opportunities for Moroccan audiovisual productions in Italy. A series of meetings with important testimonials from the twenty Italian regions will precede the screenings, simultaneously translated into French.
