A series of talks in Shanghai dedicated to the Supreme Poet, in the year of the 700th anniversary of his death.

To mark the occasion of the year of Dante, the Italian Cultural Institute of Shanghai, the Association of Italian Scholars in China (AAIIC), WhyWhyArt and the European Art and Science Association (EASA) will host a series of lectures entitled ‘Fatti non foste a viver come bruti. Dante Contemporary Landscape‘.

Introduced by Zane Mellupe, Vice President of the European Art and Science Association and presented by Francesco D’Arelli, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute of Shanghai, the lecture series will feature the following:

  • Filippo Fabrocini (College of Design and Innovation, Tongji University), ‘Dante, Jung, and the Mind: A journey Among Poetry, Psychoanalysis, and AI’
  • Cai Donghua (Fudan University), ‘Divine Comedy: The Story of my Music’
  • Francesco Fioretto (Istituto Marangoni Shanghai), ‘Is the Divine Comedy the First Case of Virtual reality?’
  • Antonino Marciano (Fudan University), Conclusions
