Eight weeks of screenings dedicated to great contemporary Italian cinema, exploring the titles that characterized the last season of Italian cinema. The Italian Cultural Institute of Montreal is taking part in the Québec 2021 edition of the Italian Festival of Contemporary Film – ICFF 2021 from 14 July to 1 September.
The programme includes the nostalgic masterpiece ‘She Still Talks to Me’ by Pupi Avati, a film that portraits absence and loneliness, shot at the height of the pandemic, as well as the family thriller by Stefano Mordini, ‘You came back’, starring Valera Golino and Stefano Accorsi. Gianluca Iodice presents a new and contrasting portrait of the italian poet Gabriele D’Annunzio, played by Sergio Castellitto in ‘The Bad Poet’.
The screenings will be hosted outdoors at Dante Park in Little Italy in Montréal , every Wednesday starting at 9:00 pm (local time) with free admission. The films will be shown in their original language, with French and English subtitles.
