On November 4 l’Italian Cultural Institute of Istanbul presents the series of discussions ‘Storie di architetti italiani 5’, (Stories of Italian Architects 5), curated by the architect Moira Valeri.

The guest of the webinar is Matteo Dondé, an architect and urban planner, expert in cycle planning, traffic control and the redevelopment of public spaces.

The main theme of the event is the road as an urban space that has to be shared by different categories of users, from pedestrians to cyclists, motorists and motorcyclists. Reducing the speed and the number of motor vehicles means being able to reduce the space devoted to them in order to give the street back to the people and to go back to enjoying public spaces as a place of socialization.

The discussion is moderated by Selva Gürdoğan, co-founder of the international architecture firm Superpool.
