International Music Expo (IMX) is an initiative held in Shanghai, China. It gathers together professionals, creators and audiences from the creative and tech industries. The 2021 edition took place online and included conferences, showcases, an expo and the performaces by the Italian artists Kharfi, one of the youngest producers on the Italian EDM scene, and Ash Code, a darkwave noise band born in Naples.
WOMEX – Worldwide Music Expo – is the most international and culturally diverse music meeting in the world and the biggest conference of the global music scene, featuring a trade fair, talks, films and showcase concerts. In 2021, the Italian artist Maria Mazzotta performed at the festival. She is one of the most emblematic musical personalities of Southern Italy, becoming one of the most appreciated voices on the European world music scene.
‘Futura’ is the project created to support the promotion of Italian music abroad, as a result of the collaboration between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Italia Music Lab foundation. It consists of a music video archive that includes performances by Italian artists who over the past two years have played during the digital editions of many showcase festivals around the world.
