The Italian Cultural Institute of Zagreb presents Gaetano Partipilo‘s concert with the Boom Collective on 9 July in the frame of the Koprivnica International Jazz Festival performances.
The Boom Collective are a true all-star band from Puglia who released their first self-titled album in 2019 on Auand Records. So far they have performed in Italy and Brazil, and we can say that with their second album ‘Leave & Meet’ with Gaetano Partipilo and American singer Joanna Teters, they have shone on the Italian jazz scene. Their live concerts are a real explosion of sound and manage to win over even the most demanding audience. Their music is a fusion of different styles with a constant exploration of the directions of classic jazz and the emotions of jazz musicians around the world and their culture.
Boom Collective is led by one of the best and most original jazz saxophonists on the Italian jazz scene: Gaetano Partipilo. Thanks to his unique sound and advanced improvisation techniques, he has become very prominent and popular among jazz fans and music critics. So far, he has recorded 8 albums, the last of which (‘Leave & Meet’) with Boom Collective in 2021.
