The Italian Cultural Institute of Berlin is holding on 3rd May a meeting with Giulia Corsalini, moderated by Sabina Magnani Von Petersdorff, Italian art historian and publicist. The meeting, in Italian with simultaneous translation, can be viewed online on the Zoom platform and on the Facebook page of the Institute.
‘‘La lettrice di Čechov‘ is the psychological portrait of a mother who is forced to leave her family and the Ukraine so that her daughter can study at university. It is the story of an educated woman who, for the love of her family, works as a caregiver in Italy. Giulia Corsalini creates a Chechovian-style character who reflects with sober detachment on her own successes and defeats.
Giulia Corsalini made her debut in 2018 with the novel ‘La lettrice di Čechov’ (published by nottetempo), obtaining numerous awards including the Mondello International Literary Prize. In 2020 her second novel, ‘Kolja. Una storia familiare’ (Kolja: A Family History) was published, once again by nottetempo.
