The International Ballet Festival, which takes place in Havana from 20 October to 13 November, this year sees the presence of great stars of Italian and international dance, with the collaboration of the Italian Embassy in Havana. Roberto Bolle will perform on 29 and 30 October at the National Theatre, interpreting the choreography ‘Caravaggio’, as part of a programme that will also feature La Scala of Milan prima ballet dancers Nicoletta Manni and Timofej Andrijashenko with ‘Lumninous’. Susanna Salvi, étoile of the Rome Opera, will perform ‘Giselle’ on 1 November, while the following day Jacopo Tissi will play the role of Albrecht in the same choreography. Finally, on Thursday 3 November, a photo exhibition will open at the ‘Fábrica de Arte’ as part of the Festival with behind-the-scenes images of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, curated by Fabrizio Sansoni.
