The films of Lina Wertmüller will be screened in Melbourne this summer, in a special retrospective ‘Seven beauties: the films of Lina Wertmüller‘, organized with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute.
The irreverence and talent of the first woman nominated for an Oscar for Best Director, winner of the Academy Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2020, will be the subject of seven screenings: each film will also be introduced with a special message from Wertmüller herself.
