The Italian Cultural Institute of Lima presents the jazz concert ‘Leepuma incontra Lima’ (Leepuma meets Lima) by Federica Lipuma, a jazz singer-songwriter who is currently artist in residence in Lima as part of the A.I.R. – Artists in Residence project, promoted by MIDJ (Italian Jazz Musicians) in collaboration with MAECI.
The project aims to encourage the growth of Italian jazz through the creation of a network of residencies for young artists in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institutes and the diplomatic-consular network of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Federica Lipuma began singing when she was just twelve years old and graduated from the prestigious Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome. She has participated in several Jazz festivals and is now the creator of the artistic project called ‘LeePuma’. She performs in Lima together with highly successful Peruvian musicians, sharing some of the compositions that inspired her residency in the Peruvian city.
