The Italian Cultural Institute of Zagreb invites to a two-day screening to celebrate contemporary Italian cinema at the Pula Film Festival.
On 13 September there will be a screening of ‘Ennio‘, a documentary directed by Giuseppe Tornatore about the legendary composer Ennio Morricone (Rome, 1928 – 2020), who gained worldwide fame by collaborating with director Sergio Leone and composing music for over five hundred films during his career. The documentary, signed by the only director for whom Morricone said he would work again, features Clint Eastwood, Quentin Tarantino, John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Oliver Stone, Terrence Malick, Dario Argento, Kar-Wai Wong, Bernardo Bertolucci and others.
On 14 September, screening of ‘Freaks Out’ by Gabriele Mainetti, seeing which
an unpredictable atmosphere conquers the spectator, projecting him into a world as spectacular as it is catastrophic. Between circus tents and war camps, four protagonists, in their diversity, express the need to be human. An innovative and courageous work that encapsulates all the love for cinema in a great adventure between dream and reality.
