On 22 April the Italian Cultural Institute of Oslo presents a recital by pianist Daniela Giordano entitled ‘Giordano 2.0 e dintorni’.

The performer is offering a listening experience that will concentrate on the recording ‘Giordano 2.0 – L’opera per pianoforte di Umberto Giordano’, a project realised with the support of the technical-scientific committee set up by the Ministry of Culture to mark the 150th anniversary of the composer’s birth.

In addition to Giordano‘s compositions, the programme includes notes by other composers and other musical forms that have points of contact with Italy and with the Italian musician’s piano writing, creating a journey full of emotions and colourful moods.

Daniela Giordano approached the world of music at a very young age, quickly demonstrating an uncommon talent. He completed his piano studies at the Conservatorio di Musica Umberto Giordano Conservatory, where he graduated with top marks, honours and an honourable mention.

She has won prizes in numerous national and international competitions, including the First Prize at the 23rd ‘Pianisti d’Italia’ National Competition and the ‘Best Performance Prize’ at the 9th International ‘Premio Napolitano’ Piano Competition.

This was the beginning of an intense concert career that led her to perform as a soloist, with great success with audiences and critics, in halls and theatres all over the world (U.S.A., Great Britain, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, France, Holland, and of course Italy).

He is currently Professor of Piano at the Conservatorio G. Donizetti in Bergamo and devotes himself with passion to teaching, giving Masterclasses and Lectures in Italy and abroad.
