The INDA – The Foundation of the National Institute of Ancient Theatre (Fondazione dell’Istituto Nazionale del Teatro Antico) presents the 57th Season of Classical plays at the Greek Theatre of Syracuse on March 30 at the Italian Cultural Institute of Paris, in the presence of the director Diego Marani, the administrator of the INDA Foundation, Marina Valensise, and the director Robert Carsen via Zoom, who debuts at the Greek Theatre with Oedipus by Sophocles. The meeting will be attended by the Superintendent of the Artistic Heritage of Syracuse, Salvatore Martines, the Director of the Archaeological Park, Carlo Staffile, and the heads of INDA’s theatrical production.
The presentation will be followed by a broadcast of a recording of Aristophanes‘ ‘Clouds’, in the acclaimed 2021 production by Antonio Calenda, translated by Nicola Cadoni.
