On the occasion of the 700th anniversary of the death of Dante Alighieri, the Italian Cultural Institute of Melbourne presents the digital installation ‘Inferno V‘, conceived and promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and produced by MTM Reality.
‘Inferno V’ is designed as a digital journey through the second circle of Hell, where we find those condemned for sins of lust. Dante meets legendary men and women from different times and places. Following the exhibition tour in the halls of the institute, visitors can ‘explore’ Canto V through pictures, videos and stories that explain the fundamental importance of Dante’s work in the history of Western literature.
