The Italian Cultural Institute of New York celebrates International Jazz Day 2021 with two special online events.
- On 27 April at 12pm EST (6pm CET): Antonio Ciacca presents Jazz Symposium: an interactive panel discussion on the role of Italian-Americans in Jazz, moderated by Antonio Ciacca, with the participation of Anna Harwell Celenza, Thomas E. Caestecker, Professor of Music at Georgetown University; Antonio Ciacca, Adjunct Professor of Jazz History at Marymount Manhattan College; Ricky Riccardi, Curator of the Louis Armstrong Archive at Queens College; Marcello Piras, Manhattan School of Music; Gianmichele Taormina, Journalist; Steven Cerra, Journalist; Pete Malinverni, Director of Jazz Studies at SUNY College, NY.
- On 28 April at 3pm EST (9pm CET): Live streamed concert of the Antonio Ciacca Quartet presenting the Italian American Songbook with Antonio Ciacca on piano, Ashley Pezzotti on vocals, Jennifer Vincent on bass and Luca Santaniello on drums.
