The fourth edition of the festival entitled ‘Disegnare il futuro. Sviluppo, innovazione, sostenibilità, bellezza‘ (Designing the future. Development, innovation, sustainability, beauty) is underway.
The chosen theme gives space to the capacity of Italian design to map innovative scenarios of development, putting at the centre of work by architects and designers proposals for improvement of human life and the preservation of the planet. These issues are even more current in the context of the Covid-19 emergency.
Italian Design Day has established itself over the years as an effective tool to support the promotion of design and the internationalization of a strategic industrial sector for our exports; this year too it includes a rich programme of promotional events organised by the network of Embassies, Consular Offices, Italian Cultural Institutes and ICE offices abroad, despite the restrictions imposed in response to the pandemic.
The initiative is managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, with the collaboration of the ADI Foundation – Collezione Compasso d’Oro.
