On March 23rd, on the occasion of the Italian Design Day 2022, the Italian Cultural Institute of Oslo organizes a conference at Oslo Metropolitan University with professor Giovanni Maria Conti, from the Polytechnic University of Milan.
The Professor will present the perspectives of sustainable fashion in the Italian fashion industry, while also delivering a workshop on sustainability in fashion to the students of Oslo Metropolitan University. Among the activities, the innovative project “Knitwear design Lab” will be presented, as well as an analysis of sustainable practices adopted by the Italian fashion industry.
Giovanni Maria Conti, Ph. D., Associate Professor, is currently the coordinator of Knitwear design Lab – Knitlab of the Degree in Fashion Design of the Polytechnic University of Milan. Founder and Scientific Coordinator of the website and blog www.knitlab.org, he is expert collaborator of the Italian-Latin American Institute (IILA) of the Pymes Forum for projects on fashion and textile cooperation. He is the Director of the Master’s Degree in fashion Direction: Product Sustainability Management at MFI (Milan Fashion Institute Consortium) and a member of LeNS – International Learning Network on Sustainability.
