On the occasion of the Italian Design Day, the Italian Embassy in Hanoi and the Italian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City organize a series of initiatives dedicated to regeneration and sustainability, the central themes of this year’s edition.
On March 25th, the Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE) hosts an hybrid conference on mobility and industrial design by architect Marco Lambri, design director of Piaggio. The event is accompanied by an exhibition dedicated to the Vespa and other famous designs by Piaggio, by a worshop for HUCE students held by Matteo Ballini, Head of Piaggio Vietnam Product Marketing, and by a screening of the movie “Enrico Piaggio. An Italian Dream”.
The conference is also presented at the Caravelle Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, followed by remarks by Gianluca Fiume, Chairman and General Director of Piaggio Vietnam, and by Prof. Ngo Thi Thu Trang, Dean of Art Design Faculty of University of Architecture of Ho Chi Minh City, on the importance of design in the context of bilateral relations between Italy and Vietnam. Moreover, between March 25th and 27th, the Caravelle Hotel hosts an exhibition of iconic objects of Italian design, such as products by Piaggio, Eurasia Concept and Ly Gia Vien.
