What materials will characterise Italian fashion design in the future?
Why is it important for fashion to become more and more sustainable, respectful of the past and less and less fast fashion?
These are the topics at the centre of the webinar entitled ‘New Materials and Sustainability as the New Trends in Italian Fashion Design’ organized by Embassy of Italy in Bangkok, in collaboration with ICE. The event, held on 8 July on the occasion of Italian Design Day 2021, aims to present a new approach to creating design objects from unusual natural materials that are recyclable, shareable and reusable.
Italian fashion is undergoing a genuine transformation of industrial design production models, starting with what is perhaps the greatest ethical challenge of the future: sustainability, and how this reflects on creative practices. A unique event to highlight to the Thai public the combination of design, new technologies and sustainability that characterizes the Italian fashion system.
More information on the event can be found on the Embassy’s Facebook page.
